fumblr

fumblr is a flash based facebook app for tumblr. It allows you to put your posts in facebook for your buddies to read. Many features are planned, and this is the dev blog to keep up with those features etc.

some stuff is a lil janky

Some of the image module is janky, i’ve got 2 other freelance projects right now, so that takes priority but i’ll get to it b4 end of the weekend. I need 5 users to submit it to the directory… somehow thats hard to get.. lol

So heres fumblr beta v.1, the conversation module is selected… i kind of like it, makes it a more visual experience. Much more coming soon! Hopefully i can get more than (1) users ! haha heres the link:

I changed some things, its now on a 500px high interface, which i agree prolly needed to be before i went live, and some other changes to make it cleaner and less janky looking.

Still working out the deets.

I want to polish it a bit more, and i guess you need 5 people to install the app before you can put it in the application directory.

Going to fixup the conversation module, because it is a lil wonky.

Also gonna try and get the audio part in.

I fixed up some of the facebook necessary stuff and some layout issues today. I have no life. So sad! hahaha

about to submit for review and go soft live

Pretty much everything is _working_, and i think i will submit it for review or whatever to get approved. Then keep working on features as i go along.

Some planned features:

Complete color scheming, with a color theme integration… make it easy for it to look good no matter what your fav color of the moment is.
Audio support, just have to make my own audio player, won’t be that long after soft launch
Video support, will integrate into youtube api, so any youtube uploaded video will play, vimeo i’m not sure about, i’m not sure if their api allows to load videos… if so then vimeo too.
Shorter interface, right now its at 700px high, i will have the bottom buttons scrollable
Possibly widgetize it, so you can post the swf anywhere, not just facebook, would be pretty simple.
Alot of other things… just not on my mind at this current moment.

Oh windows.

So yea, interfacing with the facebook api and amfphp, have proven to be fun… and it hasn’t been php thats screwing me up… its developing in flashdevelop and it puts those shitty characters at the front of the file. Screwed everything up… and i was like wtf!?!?
